  A: Service and repair of the fuel injector begins by removing the cylinder head cover plus disconnecting the fuel tube from the fuel pipe through safe methods to stop fuel splashing due to pressure retention in the fuel pipe line. Carefully detach the delivery pipe and injectors by doing the following process: Disconnect the 4 injector connectors, remove 3 bolts, extract the delivery pipe with 4 injectors and fuel pipe, take off the 2 spacers from the cylinder head, then pull out the 4 injectors from the delivery pipe before removing the O-ring and grommet from each injector. Before installation place grommets onto each injector and apply a thin coat of spindle oil or gasoline to new O-rings followed by application of a small amount of oil or gasoline on the delivery pipe O-ring area. Turn the injector before pushing it onto the delivery pipes for installation of the 4 injectors while keeping injector connectors pointing away from the unit. Install the two spacers onto the cylinder head and secure the delivery pipe with its fuel pipe containing the four injectors while temporarily screwing the delivery pipe bolts and fuel pipe bolt into the cylinder head. Perform a smooth injector rotation check because improper rotation requires new O-ring installation. As the final step position the cylinder head cover after connecting the fuel tube to the fuel pipe and tightening the delivery pipe bolts (19 N.m or 194 kgf.cm or 14 ft.lbf) and the fuel pipe bolt (9.0 N.m or 92 kgf.cm or 80 in.lbf).
