How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2000 Toyota Tacoma?

The Crankshaft Position Sensor replacement process requires removal of the engine under cover then the generator and generator bracket made secure by unstowing the bracket's 3 bolts. After disconnecting the sensor connector and bracket connector you must remove the 2 crankshaft position sensor holding bolts while also removing the O-ring. When installing the new sensor first place an O-ring before tightening the sensor with the two bolts to a torque of 8.5 Nm (85 kg.cm, 74 in.lb). Sequence the installation by reattaching the sensor connectors first to the bracket and then to the sensor. To install the generator bracket apply the three mounting bolts while tightening Bolt A to 74.5 Nm (760 kg.cm, 55 ft.lb) and setting Bolt B to 18 Nm (180 kg.cm, 13 ft.lb). The final step includes reinstallation of the generator and engine under the cover.
