The service and repair procedure for the Air Conditioning Control Assembly (Auto A/C) starts with removal of the parking brake hole cover together with the upper console panel and center cluster finish panel. The first step for the A/C control assembly removal requires users to take out the name plate before unscrewing all 3 screws to disconnect the connector. After repositioning the A/C control assembly you should attach it with the 3 screws before reconnecting the connector and installing the A/C control name plate. Reinstall first the parking brake hole cover and after that the upper console panel followed by the center cluster finish panel.

Service and repair operations of the heater control assembly start with the removal of parking brake hole cover along with upper console panel and center cluster finish panel followed by heater control cables detachment and heater control assembly extraction. A proper heater control assembly service starts with removing the A/C switch and pulling out heater control knobs and the heater control panel followed by unscrewing three screws to extract the heater control assembly where connectors can be separated. First reverse the disassembly procedure and afterward test the heater control dials and lever functionality by moving them from side to side to evaluate stiffness and possible binding while performing the installation process. The presence of stiffness or binding requires adjustments on the heater control cables when operating the air inlet control lever at "FRESH" and positioning the mode control dial at "FACE" and temperature control dial at "MAX. COOL." COOL" position. Turn the air inlet control door to the "FRESH" position before you connect the control cable followed by locking the clamp while easing the outer cable with the proper amount of tension in the specified direction. Set the mode control door to "FACE" position before connecting the control cable and locking the clamp tight in the same way. Adjust the air mix control cable by setting the air mix control door to the COOL position followed by cable connection and clamp locking as you apply minimal force on the outer cable in the indicated direction. Use the water valve control cable by first selecting the "COOL" position on the temperature control door then connecting the control cable before clamping it down while smoothing the outer cable in the directed path.

Unlock the connector's lock and pull out the flat harness from the A/C control panel.

Set the heater control assembly to the "FRESH" position, the mode control dial to "FACE," and the temperature control dial to "COOL".
