Initial work to detach a torsion bar spring along with its anchor arm begins by taking off both the front wheel and the engine under cover. Mark corresponding points on the torsion bar spring alongside the anchor arm and torque arm before measuring dimension "A" from the anchor arm adjusting bolt to the frame. These markings and measurement will help installation. First loosen the anchor arm bolt so that you can free the spring tension then take a measurement of bolt "B" for later use. Start installation with the torque arm and its 2 nuts, bolt, then proceed to take off the anchor arm as well as its adjusting seat, swivel, and adjusting bolt. Lastly, remove the torsion bar spring alongside the anchor arm. First install the torque arm with bolt and torque arm and 2 nuts before torquing them up to 225 Nm (2,300 kgf-cm, 166 ft. lbs.). Install the new torsion bar spring while applying MP grease sparingly on the spline followed by anchor arm installation before adding the anchor arm adjusting seat and swivel and bolt ensuring the bolt length reaches the measurement value taken during disassembly. Tighten the anchor arm adjusting bolt until dimension "A" meets its specified value. When reusing the torsion bar spring install the matchmarks on the torsion bar spring to anchor arm first and then on anchor arm to torque arm followed by tightening the anchor arm bolt while aiming for dimension "A" to match previously measured values. Installation of the engine under cover and front wheel should be completed together with torque at 97 ft. lbs (1,340 kgf-cm, 131 Nm) followed by an assessment of vehicle height through adjustment by altering the anchor arm bolt when the suspension is stabilized.

One must begin by taking out the front wheel and then the engine under cover before proceeding to remove the front torsion bar spring. Place matchmarks on the torsion bar spring together with the anchor arm but separate from the torque arm. Afterward remove the torsion bar spring with the anchor arm. Note the distance from the anchor arm adjusting bolt end to the frame because it will serve as an installation reference point. First free the tension in the spring through anchor arm bolt loosening then measure the anchor arm bolt "B" for future installation. Start by unfastening the anchor arm adjusting bolt and anchor arm swivel and anchor arm adjusting seat followed by the torsion bar spring removal with its anchor arm and subsequent separation of the anchor arm from the torsion bar spring. Remove the torque arm after you have taken away both nuts and the bolt and torque arm itself. Begin the installation by putting the bolt into the torque arm followed by adding the torque arm and two nuts before torquing to 225 Nm (2,300 kgf-cm, 166 ft. lbs.). The first installation step for a new torsion bar spring requires light application of MP grease to the spline before adding the new torsion bar spring with the anchor arm. Next install the anchor arm adjusting seat followed by the anchor arm swivel and then anchor arm adjusting bolt. Set the length of the anchor arm adjusting bolt to match dimension "B" which was previously measured during removal. Then tighten the bolt until dimension "A" reaches its specified measurement range. When using previously used torsion bar springs keep the matchmarks between the anchor arm and torsion bar spring in alignment before setting them with the torque arm and torsion bar spring to obtain a proper dimension "A" measurement from the earlier step. To complete the repair the engine under cover needs to be installed with the front wheel receiving a torque of 131 Nm (1,340 kgf-cm, 97 ft. lbs.) while checking vehicle height through anchor arm bolt adjustment when the suspension achieves stability.

Align the matchmarks on the torsion bar spring and anchor arm, then install them, followed by aligning the matchmarks on the torsion bar spring and torque arm.

Start with the front suspension torque arm by installing the bolt, torque arm, and 2 nuts, ensuring a torque of 225 Nm (2,300 kgf-cm, 166 ft. lbs.).

Remove the anchor arm adjusting bolt, anchor arm swivel, and anchor arm adjusting seat, followed by the torsion bar spring with the anchor arm and the anchor arm from the torsion bar spring.
