Service and repair procedures of shock absorbers should start by removing the front wheel. Service and repair of the shock absorber starts with disconnecting it from the lower suspension arm by first removing the lower side set nut and washer before you take out the bolt. First separate the lower suspension arm by prying it down to remove the bolt for shock absorber disconnect. You must detach the shock absorber with coil spring by removing the three installation nuts. The three chassis frame nuts should be torqued to 64 Nm (650 kgf-cm, 47 ft. lbs.) during shock absorber upper side installation. The installation of the shock absorber lower end consists of attaching it to the lower suspension arm by slotting in the bolt and washer and securing it with the nut while applying 135 Nm (1,400 kgf-cm, 100 ft. lbs.) torque. To finalize the process put back the front wheel and tighten it to 110 Nm (1,150 kgf-cm, 83 ft. lbs.).

Compress and extend the shock absorber rod to check for abnormal resistance or unusual sounds.

Torque the nut and bolt after stabilizing the suspension.

A spring compressor capable of applying a compressive force of 12,740 N (1,300 kgf, 2,860 ft. lbs.).

Compress and extend the rod to check for abnormal resistance or unusual sounds, replacing it if necessary.
