The first step before removing the axle shaft assembly requires draining automatic transaxle fluid for U660E, U660F, U760E, and U760F followed by transfer oil drainage when your vehicle has AWD. The front wheels and front axle shaft nut must be removed by using Special Service Tool: 09930-00010 with a hammer to unstick the part without harming the drive shaft threads. At the same time you activate the brakes remove the axle shaft nut. You must untie the front stabilizer link assembly, front speed sensor by detaching its bolt and clamp and the tie rod assembly alongside the front lower suspension arm and front axle assembly. Use Special Service Tool: 09520-01010, 09520-24010, and 09520-32040 to uninstall the LH front drive shaft assembly while safeguarding the dust cover, boot, and oil seal and resisting dropping of the apparatus. The procedure to separate the front drive shaft assembly RH from the drive shaft bearing bracket involves removing both the bearing bracket hole snap ring and bolt so that the boot or oil seal does not sustain damage.

Install the rear wheel with a torque of 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf).
