Yaw Rate Sensor

The procedure to replace the Yaw Rate Sensor begins with removing the console upper rear panel sub-assy and then moving to console panel sub-assy upper followed by console upper panel garnish No.1 and No.2. The procedure requires disconnecting the yawrate sensor connector after extracting the console box assy rear. Then use a T30 torque to remove the two bolts securing the yawrate sensor. You must hold the new yawrate sensor with two bolts while applying torque at 13.3 Nm (136 kgf-cm, 10 ft. lbs.) until proper bolt security then reconnect the yawrate sensor connector. The repair process includes installing the console box assy rear followed by console upper panel garnish No.2 and No.1 then the console panel sub-assy upper and ending with the console upper rear panel sub-assy. Conduct yawrate sensor zero point calibration and check VSC sensor signal.

Remove the Console Upper Rear Panel Sub-Assembly.

Ensure to check the yaw rate sensor zero point calibration.
