Yaw Rate Sensor

Service and repair of the Yaw Rate and Acceleration Sensor starts with verifying that damaged yaw rate sensors are not reusable then eliminating all foreign debris between the yaw rate sensor bracket and body before checking the sensor orientation. Start the process by uninstalling the Front Seat Assembly RH followed by the Front Door Scuff Plate RH then the Rear Door Scuff Plate RH together with the Front Door Opening Trim Weather Strip RH and Rear Door Opening Trim Weather Strip RH before installing the Center Pillar Garnish Lower RH. You must take out the bolt securing the Yaw Rate Sensor Protector before disconnecting its connector and removing two bolts from the sensor while also prioritizing that the sensor stays attached to the yaw rate sensor bracket. Reinstall the Yaw Rate Sensor by placing it back with both bolts that must be tightened to 14 N.m using 143 kgf.cm and 10 ft.lbf of torque while establishing connector connection. The installation sequence starts with the Yaw Rate Sensor Protector bolt and continues with mounting the Center Pillar Garnish Lower RH and then installing the Rear Door Opening Trim Weather Strip RH and Front Door Opening Trim Weather Strip RH. This must be followed by the Rear Door Scuff Plate RH and Front Door Scuff Plate RH before completing with the Front Seat Assembly RH. A Yaw Rate Sensor zero point calibration should be performed following the installation process.

Ensure that the sensor is not dropped or damaged, check for foreign matters between the yaw rate sensor bracket and the body, and confirm the sensor direction.
