Yaw Rate Sensor

The first step in Yaw Rate Sensor installation requires you to join the sensor connector labeled A and apply the clamp labeled B to the sensor bracket hole. Fasten the yaw rate sensor using its 2 nuts (C) which need to be tightened to 13 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf). During installation be sure to match the sensor orientation correctly and replace it if it falls to ground and maintain proper connector connection while keeping away from impact. The installation includes the sequence of rear console box assembly followed by console box carpet then rear console box pocket along with rear upper console panel sub-assembly then upper console panel sub-assembly and shift lever knob sub-assembly. The last step includes performing yaw rate sensor zero point calibration and verifying the yaw rate sensor signal.

Users should disconnect the negative battery terminal cable first then wait 90 seconds after ignition switch turn-off for system recording before performing service or repair work on the Yaw Rate Sensor. Some systems need to perform initialization following reconnection. The bench-seat removal requires the front center seat while vehicles with separate seats need the console box assembly to be removed. Unscrew the yaw rate sensor by removing the two marked nuts A and the component paying attention to sensor connector B and the clamp C. Installation of the yaw rate sensor requires workers to connect the sensor connector labeled A while attaching the clamp designated B to the sensor bracket hole followed by tightening the 2 nuts marked C to 13 N.m (127 kgf.cm; 9 ft.lbf). The process includes proper orientation of the sensor and connector securement before sensor replacement in any case of drop and maintaining the sensor from impact throughout the installation. The front center seat replacement should be performed for bench seat models while separate seat vehicles require a console box assembly installation before reconnecting the negative battery terminal cable, but the affected systems may require an initialization procedure. Complete the yaw rate sensor zero point calibration as the final step while verifying the yaw rate sensor signal output.

Install the yaw rate sensor using the 2 nuts (labeled C) with a torque of 13 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf).

Securely connect the connector and avoid impacts during installation.

Install the center front seat for the Center Seat and the console box assembly for the Separate Seat Type.
