Getting started with alternator removal requires removal of the V-bank cover. The first step requires removal of the engine No. 1 under cover sub-assembly by unfastening its 4 bolts. The next step requires fan removal along with the V-belt of the generator. After that, disconnect the battery. The first step in generator assembly work begins with wire harness detachment through three procedures: unbolting the generator assembly bolt and wire harness stay, disconnecting the generator assembly connector and removing the terminal nut and cap followed by wire harness terminal B disconnection. The next step in the generator assembly disassembly process involves taking out both securing bolts and wire harness clamp bracket before removing the two securing bolts.

The first step to remove the alternator consists of disconnecting the negative terminal from the battery. Begin by unfastening 11 clips as well as the radiator upper support seal. Unplug the fan together with the generator V belt. Start by disconnecting the alternating fan and fluid coupling through the process of separating 2 oil cooler hoses from the fan shroud and removing 3 bolts that attach the fan shroud to the radiator before removing the 4 nuts to detach the alternating fan with fluid coupling from the engine. Take the fan shroud and fan with fluid coupling from the vehicle at exactly the same time. Separate the vacuum hose and detach both the vane pump assembly nut and bolts for removal. Hand up all hoses instead of disconnection. The final step includes disconnecting the generator connector before removing the terminal cap and nut to separate the generator wire from the alternator wire clamp at the cord clip on the generator and then unscrewing the bolt with two nuts to extract the generator assembly.

Place the front seal plate on the coil assembly, position the brush holder with the pin facing upward, and install 2 screws torqued to 1.8 Nm (18 kgf-cm, 16 in-lbf), aligning the brush holder pins with the rear seal plate holes before installing the rear seal plate.

Remove the washer and rotor to complete the disassembly.

Attach it to terminal B and install the nut with a torque of 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf), then connect the connector to the generator assembly.

Connect the generator connector, attach the generator wire with the nut torqued to 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in.-lbf), and install the terminal cap along with the wire clamp to the cord clip.

Remove the drive belt and the fluid coupling assembly by disconnecting the 2 oil cooler hoses from the fan shroud, removing the 3 bolts to disconnect the fan shroud from the radiator, and then removing the 4 nuts to disconnect the fan with fluid coupling from the vehicle.

Torque the pulley nut to 111 N.m (1,132 kg.cm, 82 ft.lb).

Remove the 4 bolts and use Special Service Tool 09950-40011 and others to extract the coil assembly, then remove the generator washer.

Reconnect the generator connector and the generator wire with the nut, torquing it to 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 87 in.lbf), then install the terminal cap and the generator wire clamp to the cord clip.
