Front Motor

The windshield wiper motor assembly installation requires bolt attachment with 5.4 Nm torque (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf) and connector connection with new electrical tape applied to the wire harness where it was detached to provide secure board attachment. Use MP grease for applying to the crank arm pivot of the windshield wiper motor assembly then link the rod of the windshield wiper link assembly to this pivot point. Fasten the windshield wiper motor and link assembly using two bolts that should be torqued to 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf) while connecting the connector. Personnel should engage the clip with eight claws for installing the cowl top ventilator louver LH and the clip with fourteen claws for the center No. 1 cowl top ventilator louver. Begin the installation of cowl top seal by attaching its seven clips. The installation of the front wiper arm and blade assembly RH requires operation of the wiper control to bring the windshield wiper motor to stop at the automatic position when the vehicle will be cleaned with a wire brush then the assembly will be installed with the nut torqued to 26 Nm (265 kgf-cm, 19 ft-lbf) while the installer holds the arm hinge to fasten the nut. Spray washer fluid on the windshield to validate the front wipers do not touch any vehicle body while testing the LH front arm and blade assembly through the same installation process. Process by installing the 2 front wiper arm head caps as the last step.

Remove the electrical tape from the wire harness.
