The service and repair operations for the tail lamp start with LH side disassembly using the same approach as for the RH side. You need to begin by taking off the rear No. 1 combination light bulb after removing its light socket followed by the bulb itself from the socket. Following the removal of the rear No. 2 combination light bulb you should proceed with the rear No. 3 combination light bulb by performing the same steps of removing the light socket before removing the bulb. During reinstallation you should place the rear No. 3 combination light bulb into its light socket before tightening the socket. Follow the same installation order for the rear No. 2 combination light bulb and then follow it with the rear No. 1 combination light bulb by properly inserting bulbs to their designated sockets.

The first step to remove the LH side tail lamp requires disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal and waiting for at least ninety seconds to avoid activating the Air Bag and seat belt pretensioners. The first step requires you to remove the rear combination light service cover LH before taking out the rear combination light assembly LH through connector disconnection and removal of two nuts. The installation process starts with rear combination light assembly LH attachment using 2 nuts while reconnecting the connector. After that reinstall the rear combination light service cover LH and connect the cable to the negative battery terminal. The procedure concludes with initialization since some systems need battery cable initialization during polarity changes.
