    Q:
How to service and repair the rear Engine Mount on Toyota Tundra? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step of servicing or repairing the rear engine mounting involves using a transmission jack for supporting the automatic transmission assembly at the crossmember. Then, raise the automatic transmission assembly slightly away from the crossmember. Start by disconnecting the 4 bolts of the rear No. 3 engine mounting insulator and proceed with removing 4 nuts, 4 bolts, 4 plate washers and finally the crossmember. You need to remove the rear No. 1 engine mounting insulator from the transmission by breaking its holding bolts. Repetition of the installation process requires the transmission jack to hold the automatic transmission assembly slightly above the crossmember position. Secure the rear No. 1 engine mounting insulator to the transmission by using the 4 bolts with proper torquing to 40 N m (408 kgf cm, 30 ft.lbf). Place the engine rear mounting insulator first while using 4 bolts that require 16 N m (63 kgf cm, 12 ft. lbf) torque before adding 4 bolts and 4 plate washers and 4 nuts with a torque of 110 N m (1122 kgf cm, 81 ft. lbf).

    Q:
How to install the rear Engine Mount on Toyota Tundra? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin installation of the rear engine mounting after you support the automatic transmission assembly with a transmission jack which lifts it gently from the crossmember. The rear No. 1 engine mounting insulator must be installed to the transmission with 4 bolts while achieving 40 Nm (408 kgf-cm, 30 ft-lbf) of torque. Use 4 bolts to connect the engine rear mounting insulator with the No. 3 frame crossmember sub-assembly and torque them to 16 Nm (63 kgf-cm, 12 ft-lbf). Fasten together the frame crossmember by running four bolts and four plate washers and four nuts while tightening them to 110 Nm (1122 kgf-cm, 81 ft-lbf).
