The first step to service and repair the compressor clutch consists of two procedures. First run the engine at idle speed with A/C active for 10 minutes followed by engine stoppage and battery negative terminal cable disconnection. Evacuate refrigerant gas from the refrigeration system after which you must remove the engine under cover along with disconnecting the drive belt. The first step is disconnecting the suction and discharge hoses from the compressor by unbolted the 2 fasteners while immediately placing caps on open fittings to stop system entry of moisture or dirt. Disassemble the compressor units by first disconnecting the wire harness clip and the connector as well as removing all four bolts. Begin by securing the compressor with four bolts that require torquing to 25 Nm (250 kg.cm, 18 ft.lb) before connecting the connector. Install the discharge and suction hoses to the compressor after applying compressor oil on two new O-rings then fasten both hoses with two bolts that are torqued to 10 Nm (100 kg.cm, 7 ft.lb). The drive belt can be installed after replacing the engine cover following a refrigerant charge method that includes evacuating the system then adding 460 plus or minus 30 g (16.23 plus or minus 1.06 oz.) of refrigerant before leak inspections. Use a gas leak detector to check for refrigerant leakage and verify joint torques if leakage occurs during testing. This should be followed by A/C operation inspection.

The service and repair process of the compressor clutch should begin with running the engine at idle speed while enabling the A/C for 10 minutes followed by switching off the engine and removing the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery. Drain the refrigeration system of its refrigerant then remove the under cover panel from the front engine area alongside the drive belt. Detach the compressor from the vehicle by removing its connector and wire harness clamp and three bolts without damaging the discharge and suction hose. To protect the system use the provided caps for immediate coverage of open fittings after you remove their two securing bolts. When connecting hoses for installation start by applying compressor oil to two new O-rings before installing the hoses with their matching bolts while torquing to 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf) and doing so right after removing the caps from both fittings. Use the 3 bolts to install the compressor after torquing them at 24.5 N.m (250 kgf.cm, 18 ft.lbf) and reconnect the connector. The drive belt installation must be checked before connecting the negative (-) terminal battery cable. The technician must eliminate air pressure within the refrigeration system before adding the mentioned amount of 500 plus or minus 30 g (17.64 plus or minus 1.06 oz.) refrigerant. The technician must check for refrigerant leakage with a gas leak detector and check joint torques while also inspecting A/C operation in case of leakage detection.

Service and repair procedures for the compressor clutch start by letting the engine idle with A/C enabled for ten minutes and ending with the battery terminal cable removal. Squeeze out all refrigerant from the system while disconnecting the belt and removing the right-hand engine cover. Detach the discharge and suction hoses by removing the 2 bolts then cap both open fittings as soon as possible to avoid system entry of moisture or dirt. Separate the compressor by disconnecting its connector followed by the removal of 4 attaching bolts. The compression process begins by attaching the bolts with 25 N.m torque while reinserting the connector. The compressor requires discharge and suction hoses attachment with compressor oil on 2 new O-rings before installing them on both hoses followed by securing them with 2 bolts at a torque of 10 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf). Ensure immediate hose-to-hose connection after removing the caps. Install the engine under cover RH and check and install the drive belt before reattaching the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery. The refrigeration system requires air evacuation then addition of 500 plus or minus 50 g (17.64 plus or minus 1.76 oz.) of specified refrigerant. To complete the process perform a gas leak inspection with a detector followed by torque inspection if leakage occurs and test the air conditioning system.

The standard clearance should be 0.5 ± 0.15 mm (0.020 ± 0.0059 in.).

Discharge the refrigerant from the refrigeration system, remove the engine under cover, and disconnect the drive belt.

Install and check the drive belt, then connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery.

Use Special Service Tool: 07112-76050 and a socket wrench to take off the shaft bolt, ensuring a torque of 13.2 N.m (135 kgf.cm, 9 ft.lbf).
