Front Pipe

Install 3 No. 4 exhaust pipe supports, followed by the exhaust front pipe assembly with a new exhaust pipe gasket, 4 compression springs, and 4 bolts, torqued to 43 Nm (439 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf).

Proceed to install the heated oxygen sensor, the lower LH instrument pad for the Sedan, the rear console box assembly, the console box carpet, the console box rear cover for the Hatchback, the upper rear panel sub-assembly for the Sedan, the shifting hole cover sub-assembly for the Hatchback Manual Transaxle, the upper console panel sub-assembly for the Sedan, the shift lever knob sub-assembly for the Manual Transaxle, the instrument panel finish panel end LH for the Sedan, and the instrument panel finish panel lower center for the Sedan.

Remove the instrument panel finish panel lower center and end LH, the shift lever knob sub-assembly (for Manual Transaxle), the upper console panel sub-assembly, and the console upper rear panel sub-assembly.

Remove the exhaust pipe assembly front by taking out the 4 bolts and 4 compression springs, then remove exhaust pipe support No. 4 along with the exhaust front pipe assembly and the 2 exhaust pipe gaskets.

First, disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
