Front Pipe

You must start your 4WD vehicle installation of the 2GR-FE engine exhaust pipe by adding a heated oxygen sensor component for Bank 2 Sensor 2. The front exhaust pipe assembly demands 2 new gaskets to be installed while 2 nuts get torqued to 62 Nm (632 kgf-cm, 46 ft-lbf). The center exhaust pipe assembly needs two new gaskets installed before adding two exhaust pipe supports which need to be bolted and further secured by two new bolts and 2 nuts at 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf) and 62 Nm (632 kgf-cm, 46 ft-lbf) torque specifications respectively. Use 2 new nuts to secure the No. 1 exhaust pipe support bracket to the oil pan sub-assembly by torquing them to 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf). Complete this operation by letting loose the bracket bolts before installing the clamp onto the bracket then tightening the bolts to 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf). The Bank 2 Sensor 2 heated oxygen sensor needs a clamp with a new bolt secured at 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf) before sensor connection. The tail exhaust pipe assembly needs a new gasket on the center exhaust pipe assembly before attaching four supports with 2 new bolts that should be torqued to 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf). The last step is the heated oxygen sensor for Bank 1 Sensor 2 installation together with negative terminal cable connection and exhaust gas leak inspection with required part replacement or repairs.

Ensure it is installed in the correct direction, not reused, and not damaged. Do not push in the gasket using the exhaust pipe during connection.

Attach a new gasket to the front exhaust pipe assembly and secure it with 2 new nuts, torquing to 56 Nm (571 kgf-cm, 41 ft-lbf), then connect the heated oxygen sensor for Bank 2 Sensor 2.

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

Remove the 2 bolts and detach the tail and gasket from the 3 exhaust pipe supports.

Install 2 new gaskets, connect the 2 exhaust pipe supports, and secure it with 2 new bolts and 2 nuts, torqued to 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf) for the bolts and 62 Nm (632 kgf-cm, 46 ft-lbf) for the nuts.

Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor for Bank 2 Sensor 2, remove the 6 nuts, and take off the assembly along with the 2 gaskets.

Install 2 new gaskets and the exhaust pipe center to the 2 exhaust pipe supports, tightening the 2 bolts to 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32 ft. lbs.) and the 2 new nuts to 62 Nm (632 kgf-cm, 46 ft. lbs.).

Take out the 2 bolts and detach the tail and gasket from the 4 exhaust pipe supports.
