Master Cylinder

Begin installing the clutch master cylinder assembly by fixing it with both 13 Nm torque (129 kgf-cm, 9 in-lbf) nuts. Attach the clutch master cylinder to the flexible hose tube by tightening the union nut wrench to 15 Nm (154 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf) either with or without the wrench applied. The required torque is 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf) with using the wrench. The required torque can be reached through a 300 mm (11.8 in.) torque wrench combined with a 22 mm (0.886 in.) union nut wrench which should be set parallel to the torque wrench. Follow by fitting the clutch reservoir tube into the clutch master cylinder using the clip which must be attached without twisting the tube and with the white mark pointing upward. Before attaching the clevis to the clutch pedal using the pin and clip, apply MP grease on both pin and bush contact surfaces from the right side of the vehicle. After installing the clip to the pin users should proceed with brake booster assembly installation before conducting clutch pedal sub-assembly inspection and adjustment.

Clutch installation requires first attaching the clutch master cylinder bracket and then fixing the clutch master cylinder with two nuts which must be tightened to 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf). Place MP grease on the contact zone of the clevis bushing then link the clevis to the clutch pedal sub-assembly through the hole pin while inserting the hole pin from the right side of the vehicle before adding the clip. The installation of the union nut wrench requires 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf) torque when using it but 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf) when not using it. This process requires a torque wrench with 250 mm (9.84 in.) of fulcrum length which must be parallel to the union nut wrench. Connect the clutch reservoir tube to the clutch master cylinder assembly using the clip as the final step. The procedure includes filling the brake fluid reservoir while performing a clutch line bleed and inspecting both fluid level and detecting any clutch system fluid leaks.

The removal of the Clutch Master Cylinder starts with breaking away the brake booster assembly. After removing the clip from the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis you must also detach the push rod clevis from the clutch pedal. Begin by loosening the clip before disconnecting the clutch reservoir tube from the clutch master cylinder while using a container to collect flowing fluid. Use a union nut wrench to disconnect the flexible hose tube while catching the fluid inside a container that should be placed underneath. The last step entails clutch master cylinder assembly extraction through removal of its two securing nuts.

The union nut wrench should be parallel to the torque wrench.

Connect it with the pin and clip, installing the pin from the right side of the vehicle.

Remove the clutch master cylinder assembly by taking out the clip and hole pin, followed by removing the 2 nuts securing the clutch master cylinder, and then detach the clutch master cylinder bracket.
