The installation process starts by mounting the lock nut onto the push rod before adding the push rod clevis. Secure the lock nut tightly while testing that dimension A matches its measured value of A. The installation of the clutch master cylinder requires a torque of 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf) while using the two nuts. The installation of the clutch master cylinder requires a union nut wrench for fixing the flexible hose tube which should reach 14 Nm (144 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf) torque but can be secured at 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf) torque without it. The appropriate torque for these components requires a torque wrench with a 300 mm (11.8 in.) fulcrum and a union nut wrench with a 22 mm (0.866 in.) fulcrum which must be oriented in a parallel position to the torque wrench. Construct the connection between the clutch reservoir tube and clutch master cylinder assembly by applying a clip. Continuation requires installation of the brake booster assembly followed by checking and adjustment of the clutch pedal sub-assembly and instrument panel under tray before final installation of the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

Service and repair of the clutch master cylinder starts with unfastening the clip holding the brake booster assembly and the clutch reservoir tube to detach it from the clutch master cylinder assembly while collecting fluid with a container. Service the clutch master cylinder by detaching it from the flexible hose tube by using Special Service Tool: 09023-00101 after collecting the fluid with a container. Begin the installation by removing under cover sub-assembly No.1 of the instrument panel followed by removing the clutch master cylinder assembly through removing its 2 nuts. You need to measure dimension A before you start loosening the lock nut for removing the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis. After that you can remove the lock nut. Start the installation process by mounting the push rod lock nut followed by the push rod clevis and tighten the lock nut until dimension A matches the initial measurement. Connect the clutch master cylinder assembly with 2 nuts that require 9.0 N m (92 kgf cm, 80 in. lbf) torque before you link it to the flexible hose tube with Special Service Tool: 09023-00101 through torqueing the assembly to 15 N m (153 kgf cm, 11 ft. lbf). After reconnecting the clutch reservoir tube with its clip to the clutch master cylinder assembly you must reinstall the brake booster assembly then check the clutch pedal sub-assembly before finishing with instrument panel under cover sub-assembly No.1.

Install the clutch master cylinder using 2 nuts, applying a torque of 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf).

Take off the 2 nuts to remove the clutch master cylinder assembly.

Remove the clutch master cylinder assembly by taking out the 2 nuts.

Install the brake booster assembly, inspect and adjust the clutch pedal sub-assembly, and finally, install the instrument panel under cover sub-assembly No.1.

Connect the clutch master cylinder to the flexible hose tube using a union nut wrench with a torque of 14 Nm (144 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf) or without it at 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf).

Install the brake booster assembly.
