Control Assembly

You should start servicing the Heater Control Assembly for manual A/C systems by taking away the center cluster finish panel followed by removing the heater control cables while maintaining proper care of the air mix damper control cable. The first step to service the heater control assembly requires you to uninstall its 4 bolts and remove the assembly combined with the stereo opening cover assembly before disconnecting all connectors. The stereo opening cover assembly separation starts with bolts removal and screws removal and brackets removal until the heater control assembly can be detached from the stereo opening cover assembly. First place the heater control assembly with the stereo opening cover assembly onto the 2 brackets before installing the 8 bolts and 4 screws and reconnecting all connectors followed by installing 4 bolts to secure the heater control assembly. The driver side air mix control cable passes through the opening between the driver side brace and the A/C unit and the passenger side cable rests outside the passenger side brace. The air mix control knobs must be set to "MAX. COOL" position to connect the heater control cables. Set the "MAX. COOL" position of the knobs before adjusting the cables to position the connectors on the lever pin before clamping the cable outers with the knobs in place. COOL" position for both sides. Both cable bending and knob adjustments must stop until the clamping of the cable outer begins. End the installation by putting in place the center cluster finish panel.

First, remove the Multi Display, which is built into the A/C amplifier.

Unlock the connector's lock and pull out the flat harness from the A/C control panel.

Avoid bending the cable during this process and do not move the air mix knob until the cable outer is clamped.
