Condenser

The installation process starts by positioning the condenser assembly with receiver according to the illustration and follows with oil addition (40 cc or 1.35 fl.oz. ND-8 or equivalent compressor oil) when new condensers are involved. Begin by removing the vinyl tape from both tube and cooler condenser assembly. Subsequently apply ND-OIL 8 or equivalent compressor oil to a new O-ring and tube joint fitting surface. Install the O-ring onto the liquid pipe sub-assembly before securing it with the bolt torqued to 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf). The discharge hose sub-assembly gets its compressor oil service on a new O-ring prior to tightening the bolt to 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf). After installing the No. 2 fan shroud for either the 2AZ-FE or 2ZR-FE engine the upper radiator support sub-assembly must be fitted using 5 bolts where Bolt (1) should have 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf) while Bolt (2) requires 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf) torque and the horn connector must be connected. For a 2AZ-FE engine use two clamps whereas 2ZR-FE requires three clamps to attach the water by-pass hose. After hood lock installation, inspect and modify the hood sub-assembly before putting on the front bumper assembly either with or without front spoiler components. Engine heat up the vehicle before checking for refrigerant leakage then perform fog light aiming adjustment inspections followed by necessary adjustments.

Ensure proper oil application and torque.

Recover refrigerant from the refrigeration system.
