The first step toward fixing the compressor clutch involves separating the compressor along with its magnetic part. Special Service Tool: 07112-76060 together with a socket wrench allow you to detach the shaft bolt that requires a torque of 13.2 N.m (135 kgf.cm, 9 ft.lbf). After installing Special Service Tool: 07112-66040 on the pressure plate you should use both Special Service Tool: 07112-66040 and 07112-76060 and a socket wrench to detach the pressure plate followed by removing the shims present on the pressure plate. To separate the rotor use Special Service Tool: 95994-10020 and remove the snap ring while positioning the beveled side upward before tapping the rotor off with a plastic hammer. The removal of the stator requires disconnecting the stator lead wire from the compressor housing followed by Special Service Tool: 95994-10020 to carefully extract the snap ring with its beveled side oriented upwards and finally removing the stator. After disassembly the reverse sequence is used to reassemble all components. A magnetic clutch measurement check requires setting the dial indicator on the pressure plate while connecting the magnetic clutch wire to the positive battery terminal followed by checking the pressure plate to rotor distance using the negative battery terminal, which should match the specified range of 0.5 plus or minus 0.15 mm (0.020 plus or minus 0.0059 in.). A clearance adjustment through standard shims should be performed to reach the standard range: 0.1 mm (0.004 in.), 0.3 mm (0.012 in.), or 0.5 mm (0.020 in.).

Utilize a snap ring expander to take out the snap ring and magnet clutch rotor.

Connect the hoses using the 2 bolts, torquing to 10 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 in.lbf), ensuring to connect the hoses immediately after removing the caps, and lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil before installation.

Attach the compressor and magnetic clutch with the 4 bolts, torquing to 24 N.m (245 kgf.cm, 18 ft.lbf), and reconnect the connector.

Reconnect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, evacuate air from the refrigeration system, and charge the system with refrigerant, using a specified amount of 600 ± 50 g (21.16 ± 1.76 oz.).

Install the compressor with the cooler bracket using the 4 bolts and nut, torquing to 25 N.m (250 kgf.cm, 18 in.lbf), and connect the connector.
