Differential Case

Starting to install the differential lock requires first cutting the negative battery cable then removing the rear wheel followed by draining brake fluid before washing painted areas that come in contact with fluid. After draining differential oil you must follow by taking away the rear disc brake caliper assembly LH then add the rear disc brake caliper assembly RH through the same process. Stand in front of the rear disc before taking out the parking brake shoe return tension spring and parking brake shoe strut LH along with the parking brake shoe. Unfasten the parking brake cable LH followed by the removal of the parking brake cable RH through the same method. You need to eliminate both the rear speed sensor along with its RH counterpart by following the same steps previously used. Follow the identical method to dismantle the rear axle shaft RH and then the rear axle shaft LH before you extract their corresponding oil seals using this same approach on both sides. The 2WD requires removal of its rear propeller shaft assembly while both 2WD and 4WD vehicles require removal of the rear propeller shaft assembly. The 11 nuts and differential carrier have to be removed while protecting the contact surface until the rear differential carrier gasket can be taken out.

Install the front axle hub grease cap.
