Throttle Cable

The service and repair procedure for throttle cable/linkage begins with engine throttle cable detachment and proceeds with removal of No.2 engine under cover and the park/neutral position switch and valve body. To access the throttle cable for service and repair you must start by disconnecting its engine connection then proceed with the No.2 engine under cover and park/neutral position switch and valve body removal. Finally take out the retaining bolt and plate before pulling the cable from the transaxle case. One should bend the new throttle cable into a 7.87 inch (200 mm) radius shape before pulling it gently until resistance occurs while holding this position to stake the stopper 0.031-0.059 inch (1.5mm - 0.8mm) inside the outer cable end before installing the retaining bolt. The procedure requires reinstallation of the valve body followed by the park/neutral position switch along with No.2 engine under cover and completion with throttle cable connection and proper adjustment. To finish the process you must both fill the ATF and verify the level of ATF.
