Toyota Venza Exhaust Manifold Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to remove the exhaust manifold on Toyota Venza?
A: The first step for exhausting the manifold is to wear protective gloves and wait until the Exhaust Pipe becomes safe to touch by checking if it has cooled down after the engine stops. Commence the procedure by taking out the No. 1 engine under cover together with the No. 2 engine under cover. The first step involves disconnecting the clamp and connector while removing 4 bolts and two compression springs and the front exhaust pipe assembly. The following step requires the removal of two gaskets from both the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly and center exhaust pipe assembly. You should now uninstall the air fuel ratio sensor which is located at Bank 1 Sensor 1. You should first remove the manifold stay by extracting its bolt and nut together with the stay before proceeding to take apart the No. 2 manifold stay through the same steps. Start by removing the No. 1 exhaust manifold heat insulator through the removal of its 4 bolts and finish by removing the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly after unscrewing the 5 nuts. You should detach the No. 2 exhaust manifold heat insulator by removing its 2 bolts followed by the removal of the No. 1 manifold converter insulator by unscrewing all 4 bolts.
