The(Thread) installation process for the
Windshield wiper motor assembly starts with securing the wiper motor with 3 bolts at 7.5 Nm torque (75 kgf-cm equals 66 in-lbf) then make sure to apply MP grease on the crank arm pivot. The rod of the wiper link must be connected to the crank arm. Use 4 bolts with a nut to secure the front wiper motor along with link assembly at 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf) torque while connecting the appropriate connector. Push the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly towards its mount points to attach both 8 claws and 2 clips. The same opening technique should be used to connect the claw when mounting the front fender to cowl side seal LH as for the RH-side installation. The 16 claws should be used to secure the hood to cowl top seal. The front wiper arm and blade installation requires a stopped wiper motor at automatic mode then cleaning of wiper arm and pivot points before tightening the assembly with a nut to 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf) torque while using hand pressure on the wiper arm hinge. Perform a similar process on the front wiper arm and blade assembly for the right side while checking for correct positioning and operation by activating the wipers as you apply washer fluid to the windshield glass to confirm clear vehicle body space.
