The installation process for Park/Neutral Position Switch Assembly of the A750E Automatic Transmission begins with mounting the switch onto the manual valve shaft using a bolt for temporary holding. Apply a new lock washer followed by a nut which requires a torque value of 6.9 Nm (70 kgf-cm, 61 in-lbf). The control shaft lever RH requires temporary attachment by rotating it counterclockwise first until it stops then clockwise two notches to set to the N position which lines up the groove with the neutral basic line. You should grasp the switch in position before applying a 13 Nm (133 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf) torque to the bolt while using a screwdriver to bend the lock washer tabs. Fasten the transmission control shaft lever RH with its spring washer and nut until it reaches a torque of 16 Nm (163 kgf-cm, 12 ft-lbf) and join the switch connector. Connect the transmission control cable assembly with the nut by tightening it to 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf) torque while maintaining the L bracket of the cable inside the vehicle. The negative battery terminal needs cable connection after which some systems might demand initialization following reattachment. Complete inspections of the Park/Neutral Position Switch Assembly while maintaining the necessary adjustment of the shift lever position.
