A new brake booster gasket needs installation on the brake booster before continuing with installation. Follow steps to install the brake booster by attaching it with four nuts where tightness should reach 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf) yet avoid breaking brake lines or the wire harness. After brake pedal height adjustment, install the push rod clevis together with the lock nut before threading both parts down. After the push rod pin installation the brake pedal return spring should go on last. Add the instrument panel finish lower panel LH to the vehicle before setting up the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH which applies to both Coupe and Convertible models. Construct and put into place the front door scuff plate LH for both Coupe and Convertible models. Tool 09023-00101 allows installation of the No. 5 front brake line where it requires 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf) torque. The vacuum hose assembly needs to be connected to the brake booster system before securing it with its clip. All workers must inspect and readjust the brake booster push rod before installing the
Brake Master Cylinder sub-assembly. Add brake fluid to the reservoir before bleeding the brake master cylinder and the brake line following the procedure. To finish the installation you should verify the brake fluid level in the reservoir and search for fluid leaks then evaluate and adjust the pedal height.
