The wheels on the front of the vehicle must be aligned in a straight direction. Start the procedure by taking off the lower No. 3 steering wheel cover then follow with removal of the lower No. 2 cover. Start by completing the removal of the steering pad before taking off both the steering wheel assembly and the steering pad. The procedure continues with the removal of lower steering column cover and upper steering column cover. The spiral cable sub-assembly must be separated first before detach the steering angle sensor where six claws need to be removed.
