The first step to change the generator drive end frame bearing requires removal of the four screws and the bearing retainer. The generator drive end frame bearing removal process requires usage of Special Service Tools: 09950-60010 (09951-00250), 09950-70010 (09951-07100) and a hammer for bearing extraction. Place a new bearing into position using both Special Service Tool and a press after using the same tool in the previous step. After installing the bearing retainer with its 4 screws focus on applying 2.3 N.m of torque (23 kgf.cm, 20 in.lbf).
