Service and repair the trunk/liftgate lock requires technicians to start by removing the center back door garnish followed by the back door side garnish on the left-hand side and finished with removal of the right-hand side one. The next step must be removal of the back door garnish. Proceed to eliminate the back door lock cover after taking off its 4 claw attachments. The door lock removal process ends by disconnecting the connector from the back door lock assembly and unfastening all 3 bolts.
