  Q: How to service and repair the throttle body on Toyota Echo?

  A: The service and repair process of the throttle body requires coolant drain first as a starting point. Start by disconnecting the accelerator cable after which you should remove the air cleaner hose and cap by untightening 2 air cleaner hose clamp bolts and disconnecting the hose from the throttle body and air cleaner cap. Start the throttle body removal procedure by disconnecting the throttle position sensor connector together with the IAC valve connector and PCV hose and 2 water bypass hoses. First remove the bolt along with the 2 nuts and throttle body from the intake manifold in order to detach the accelerator bracket and throttle body before removing the throttle body gasket.
