The Fuel Injector part is a well-known part well acclaimed due to its efficiency and essentiality, as it helps in the proper functioning of different models of the Toyota Echo. This Fuel Injector pumps fuel directly into the engine's cylinders to improve the air-fuel mix that would aid combustion. Toyota Echo which currently includes Toyota Platz and Toyota Yaris models employs returnless fuel injection system that sends fuel back to the tank without the need for the return line; this helps to decrease complication and thus, vulnerability. This is clear, when one looks at the Fuel Injector, which is made to last long but it does needs constant servicing or cleaning to ensure it does not clog or develop leaks that compromise on the performance of the engine and at the same time increase the emission output. Through the proper working of the Fuel Injector, the drivers can ensure that their Toyota Echo vehicles are running well with no frequent breakdowns and accidents. However, it important to denote that the model suits a range of Echo models, making it a perfect buy for car owners who are interested in upping their car's performance. Special features of the Fuel Injector are as follows: The ECM has a capability of controlling the fuel injector and delivering the fuel injection depending on the load of the engine in addition to contributing to the fuel efficiency of the automobiles. Toyota stopped manufacturing the Toyota Echo in 2005, however, the principles that it played to, specifically the principle of affordability and efficiency are still admirable to drivers to this date thus elevating the status of Fuel Injector in the market.

Toyota Echo Fuel Injector Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the fuel injector on Toyota Echo?
    A:
Start the repair process of the fuel injector by first taking off the No.2 cylinder head cover and then the cylinder head cover. You must disconnect the fuel tube through two steps starting with fuel pipe clamp removal then separating the fuel tube connector from the fuel pipe. Always take caution due to remaining fuel pressure in the line. The first step requires the removal of both the injectors and delivery pipe after disconnecting the 4 injector connectors and unfastening a total of 3 bolts to extract the delivery pipe and its attached 4 injectors and fuel pipe followed by taking out the 2 cylinder head spacers. Remove the 4 injectors from the delivery pipe while carefully extracting them. Do not overlook the necessary step of removing O-rings and grommets from each injector. New grommets must be applied to each injector before coating their O-rings with spindle oil or gasoline and applying the solution to the delivery pipe contact points. Secure the 4 injectors in place by turning motion followed by insertion into delivery pipes with their connectors at the external surface. Secure the 2 spacers against the cylinder head before applying spindle oil or gasoline to the grommet points and placing delivery pipe and fuel pipe with installed injectors onto the cylinder head. Test the delivery pipe bolts and fuel pipe bolt while observing smooth injector rotation before changing the O-ring. Fasten both delivery pipe bolts to 19 N.m of torque (190 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf) and the fuel pipe bolt to 9.0 N.m (92 kgf.cm, 80 in.lbf). Install the fuel tube to the fuel pipe by following proper connection precautions then secure the fuel pipe clamp into position. After attaching the wire harness protector cover with its bolt and two nuts you can install the PCV hose to the cylinder head cover. Last in the procedure is to attach the high-tension cords to the Ignition Coils. The fuel delivery pipe disconnect requires Special Service Tool 09268-21010 for connector connection while you remove the fuel pipe clamp then extract the fuel tube assembly's metallic connector. To detach and protect the fuel tube connector users must first disengage the fuel pipe clamp followed by connector cleaning then disconnect it manually and must provide protection against further damage or pollution.
