How to replace the liftgate lift support on Toyota 4Runner?

To replace the back door stay, remove the bolts and stay from the door and body. Drill a 2.0 - 3.0 mm hole to release gas before disposal. Handle carefully to avoid damaging the piston rod. Install the new stay by bolting it to the body and door, torquing to 17 N.m.
