How to service the headlight dimmer switch on Scion tC?

To service the headlight dimmer switch, disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait 90 seconds. Remove the steering column cover and switch assembly, then reinstall the switch and cover. Reconnect the battery and perform initialization if required by certain systems after reconnecting the cable.
