In order to service the cigarette lighter assembly, disconnection of the negative battery terminal is required and wait of 90 seconds. In manual transaxle, take off the shift lever knob, front console panel and cigarette lighter cover. Unmount the assembly, reattach, and reconnect the battery, and (possibly) initialize.
