Install the 1NZ-FE cooling system thermostat by first adding a new gasket before positioning the jiggle valve upward within a 10 degrees range from either side. The water inlet requires attachment to the radiator hose by using two nuts that need tightening to 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf) torque. Engine coolant goes into the system after installation with a leak inspection.
