How to install the thermostat on 2009 Toyota Sequoia?

Install the 2UZ-FE cooling system thermostat by first placing the new gasket on it then inserting the thermostat into the water inlet housing with the jiggle valve pointing straight up with 30 degrees tolerance on both positions. The water inlet needs three nuts to be fastened while maintaining 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf) torque. The following step requires attaching the outlet radiator hose. Afterward connect the air cleaner hose assembly and throttle body cover sub-assembly. Engine coolant needs addition before checking the vehicle for coolant leakage. The last step consists of fitting the No. 1 engine under cover.
