The 2AZ-FE engine control requires installation of the engine coolant temperature sensor through a new gasket with 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf) torque. You must connect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector as the second step. Fasten first the air cleaner case before installing the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with its connected hose. Then you must fill the system with coolant before checking for any leakages. You should complete installation of the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly.
