2009 Toyota Avalon Blower Motor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the blower motor on 2009 Toyota Avalon?
A: Service and repair of the blower motor begins with removing the evaporator temperature sensor through clamp removal. A 4 mm hexagon wrench should be used to remove the 2 hexagon bolts that secure the cooler expansion valve. The service starts with removing cooler evaporator sub-assembly No.1 while you need to extract both its O-rings. The air filter cover plate and clean air filter will become free from the 2 claws before their removal. The next step requires removing the air inlet servo motor through the process of screw removal. Release the 4 claws to let go of the air duct sub-assembly No.3 followed by the removal of the cooling unit motor sub-assembly with fan by unscrewing 3 screws.
