2008 Toyota Avalon Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove the blower motor on 2008 Toyota Avalon?
A: Starting the process of removing the blower motor requires a 90-second wait for the battery terminal to be disconnected to stop Air Bag operations. Starting with both wiper arms and blades followed by the right cowl ventilator louver needs removal. Proceed by removing the windshield wiper motor and link as well as the cowl ventilator panel sub-assembly. Workers must first perform a refrigeration system discharge followed by removing the suction hose sub-assembly, air conditioner tube and accessory, heater water outlet hose A (from the heater unit) and heater water inlet hose A. The instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly, air duct sub-assembly No.1 and steering intermediate shaft assembly can be separated. First separate the steering column assembly, heater to register duct No.2, heater to register duct assembly No.6, console box duct No.1, floor carpet brackets on both left and right sides, and instrument panel reinforcement assembly. Continue the sequence by removing air duct sub-assembly No.2 followed by the removal of the blower assembly which requires the connector, clamp, wire harness, and six screws until you can take out the blower assembly and cooler evaporator sub-assembly.
