    A: The installation of the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor for 2AZ-FE engines requires a new gasket placement on the sensor before proceeding to connect the Special Service Tool 09817-33190. Pass the sensor installation through Special Service Tool: 09817-33190 while tightening it to 19.6 Nm (200 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf). Connect the sensor connector after its installation is complete. The installation starts by connecting the cable to the negative battery terminal followed by engine coolant addition. You must check for coolant leaks before completing the initialization procedure when systems need battery cable initialization after reconnection from the negative (-) terminal.
