- Q: How to install the throttle body with motor body assembly on 2008 Toyota Yaris?A: One must install the throttle body with motor body assembly on a 1NZ-FE engine control system by first placing a new gasket onto the intake manifold. Fasten the throttle body along with motor body assembly by installing one bolt, three nuts, and torquing them to 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf). Second, mount the water filler sub-assembly with hose by applying two nuts at 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf) torque and third, install the wire harness with bracket by using one nut at 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf). First, join the throttle to the motor body assembly connector after which you should attach both water by-pass hoses. The installation of the air cleaner cap sub-assembly must include air cleaner hose No. 1 and require a hose clamp torque of 3.0 Nm (31 kgf-cm, 27 in-lbf). Starting from the wire harness clamp connect the mass air flow meter connector and ventilation hose No. 2 then attach the vacuum switching valve assembly connector followed by the wire harness clamp. The final step includes two operations: installing both fuel vapor feed hoses on the vacuum switching valve assembly and using a torque of 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf) to secure the connector to the negative battery terminal. After which, engine coolant should be added and a leak check should be performed.
