2008 Toyota Yaris A/C Compressor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to remove the A/C Compressor and pulley on 2008 Toyota Yaris?
A: Discharging the refrigerant from the refrigeration system should be the first step when removing the air conditioning compressor and pulley intended for the 1NZ-FE engine. You should begin by disconnecting the negative battery cable and then remove the right-hand side engine under cover. Afterward remove the fan and generator V belt from their positions. A technician must first disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant suction hose by removing its bolt and hose along with removing its o-ring before applying vinyl tape to seal the opened parts to avoid moisture and foreign intrusion. You should detach the bolt from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose then extract both the hose and its O-ring while applying vinyl tape to the openings for prevention. Finish the compressor and pulley removal by disconnecting the connector while unbolt the four securing compressor bolts.
