The first step requires removal of steering column lower cover followed by steering column upper cover removal. Unplug the two connectors which are attached to the wiper switch. A screwdriver covered by protective tape should be used to release the claw which will allow removal of the windshield wiper switch assembly while being mindful to exercise gentle pressure on the claw to prevent its breakage.
