2008 Toyota Solara Vapor Canister Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to remove the Vapor Canister on 2008 Toyota Solara?
A: The first step for removing the Evaporative Emission Control Canister for 2AZ-FE engines includes the removal of the fuel tank assembly. The next step involves detaching the fuel tank vent hose from the charcoal canister by pushing the connector deep within the opening while pinching portion A to release the connector. A similar method should be used to disconnect the charcoal canister filter sub-assembly from the charcoal canister. You should disconnect three components from the charcoal canister: the vapor pressure sensor connector, the wire harness clamp and the purge line hose. End this step by taking out the 2 bolts and clip as well as separating the charcoal canister.
