- Q: How to perform valve clearance service and repair involving the Exhaust Valve and Intake Valve on 2008 Toyota Solara?A: You need to remove both RH front wheels and RH front fender apron seal to start the valve clearance service on the 2AZ-FE engine. After disconnecting the engine No.1 cover sub-assembly you can proceed to release the spark plug socket and move on to removing the ventilation hose and ventilation hose No.2. Pull out the bolt from engine wire then detach its harness clamp to take down the cylinder head cover assembly. Uninstall the 8 bolts and 2 nuts along with the cover and its gasket for removal. Use your crankshaft pulley key to align the No.1 cylinder's top dead center position when its timing chain cover mark is at 0. Also normalize the camshaft camshaft timing gear and sprocket rotation with their respective bearing caps No.1 and No.2.
