For 1NZ-FXE cooling system thermostat installation start by fitting the new gasket on the thermostat and setting the jiggle valve to face upwards at a position that can be aligned to 10 degrees with either side. Secure the water inlet to the cylinder block by tightening the 2 nuts to 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf). Check for the absence of the gasket between these components during this step. Engine coolant should be added then you must inspect for any coolant leakage. Afterward both engine under covers should be installed on their respective right and left sides before attaching the radiator support opening cover.
