2008 Toyota Land Cruiser Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to Remove the Seat Heater from the Rear Seat Cushion on 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser?
A: Protective gloves are essential to handle the rear seat cushion heater from its position on the right hand side because of potential sharp parts. Start the procedure by taking out the rear No. 1 seat assembly. The installation starts with removing the reclining adjuster release handle RH followed by the seat adjuster bolt cover. Start by removing the rear No. 1 seat reclining cover from the right side then remove the cover from the left side. The technician moves forward with removal of the upper seat track rail cover LH and upper seat track rail cover RH. The next operation requires the removal of rear No. 2 seat leg side cover and rear No. 2 seat protector. The technician should continue with the removal of rear No. 1 seat hinge sub-assemblies LH and RH. Move on to the following sequence of removal beginning with rear seat cover and ending with rear under side cover LH and the rear seat under tray cover RH. Proceed to remove both the seat cushion cover with pad along with the rear separate type seat cushion cover. The removal of the rear seat cushion heater assembly requires first cutting tack pins that hold the seat heater to the seat cushion cover then separating the seat heater from the cover.
