How to install the Engine Control Module on 2008 Toyota Corolla?

First install ECM bracket No. 3 using its 2 screws tightened to 3.2 Nm of torque which equals 33 kgf-cm and 28 in-lbf. Users must install ECM bracket No. 2 by securing it with 2 screws at 3.2 Nm (33 kgf-cm) torque (28 in-lbf torque). A new round of installation begins with DENSO Made ECM bracket No. 1 using 2 screws to the same torque value, and afterward install DELCO Made ECM bracket No. 1 with 4 screws at 3.2 Nm (33 kgf-cm, 28 in-lbf). Install the new ECM cover onto the ECM according to the given illustration. The ECM should be secured to the housing with two screws tightened to 3.0 Nm (31 kgf-cm / 27 in-lbf) before connecting four ECM connectors [B] followed by wire harness clamp [C] installation. Fasten the cover to the clips before replacing the glove compartment door assembly. To finish up connect the battery negative terminal at 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf) while completing the VIN registration process.
