How to reassemble the Drive Shaft assembly on 2008 Toyota 4Runner?

You need to place the rear propeller shaft universal joint spider bearing before starting the 2WD propeller shaft assembly reassembly process. A new universal joint requires application of MP grease No. 2 before insertion into the yoke flange. Use the Special Service Tool: 09332-25010 to position the bearings onto the spider along with adjusting the bearings to reach maximum width equality in the snap ring grooves. Install four brand new snap rings of the same thickness to stop axial movement while avoiding using old snap rings. New retainer rings must be used while keeping the retainer rings on both ends with equal thickness. The assembly ends with hammer-tapping the yoke to eliminate any space between the spider bearing outer race and the snap ring. At this point the new spider bearing must be installed on the sleeve just as before.
